Covid Rapid Testing
Dear Parents/Guardians:
The Coatesville Area School District remains committed to maintaining the health and safety of our students and staff. With this goal in mind, we are excited to announce that the district will be offering optional COVID-19 testing. In-school testing will be available to in-person students and staff who come to school feeling healthy but begin to feel symptomatic during the school day. We will only test with your consent. Our school nurses have been trained and certified by CHOP’s ACE-IT (Assisting Childhood Education through Increased Testing) program. If you are willing to provide consent for our school nurse to administer this test on your child or yourself (if student is age 18 or older), please complete the attached consent form and return to school nurse. Women's History Month
In celebration of Women History Month, our very own Ms. Marilyn Stephens will on Facebook Live tonight at 7pm-8pm. Speaking on Black Women Athletes in the 21 Century. Ms. Stephens played basketball at Temple University and professionally overseas. She is a basketball legend and she is featured in the book They Carried Us. The registration Link is below. DCCC Application Process
If you are considering this program, please feel free to complete the application linked below.
Application Deadline - 4/15
- After students submit a dual enrollment application, they should send an email to enroll@dccc.edu to confirm that they submitted their dual enrollment application (students should include their full name, date of birth and high school name).
- The application can be found at www.dccc.edu/dualenrollment (center of page, click “Apply Now”).
Please note, that student's should select seven courses plus alternates for course selection. Upon acceptance into the program, guidance will work with students and families to adjust schedules.
AccuPlacer Testing is Required for Admission
DCCC uses the Accuplacer to determine if the student is prepared for college level academic work. This test is given by the College Board. For information about this test please link here.
Students, if you would like to practice for the Accuplacer test, you can find questions at www.collegeboard.com.
Placement Test Deadline - 5/20
- Once students are tested and results are finalized, registration will follow. We will meet again to determine summer engagement and Fall 2021 orientation.
Dual Enrollment Highlights
- All courses and textbooks are provided by the Coatesville Area School District at no cost to the families.
- Each student has the opportunity to meet with a transfer counselor.

Middle School Sports General Information
Students Registered for Track and Field
7th GRADE
STUDENTS ATTENDING IN PERSON INSTRUCTION: Students will be dismissed daily from their last period class at 1:50pm and should report to the auditorium lobby entrance on Monday, March 15. Our middle school faculty manager, Ms. Luciani and/or I will be present on the first day to take attendance then escort students to the bus (BUS #124). We will then ride the bus to the high school campus where the middle school track coaches will meet us at the stadium main entrance on the home side. Coaches will then escort students into the CAIHS locker room facilities to get changed into practice attire. Parents can plan to pick up students in the stadium parking lot or in front of the CAIHS gymnasium area no later than 4:45pm.
STUDENTS ATTENDING VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION: Students should be dropped off at the stadium main entrance on the home side no later than 2:45pm. Students should be dressed for practice. Parents can plan to pick up students in the stadium parking lot or in front of the CAIHS gymnasium area no later than 4:45pm.
8th GRADE
STUDENTS ATTENDING IN PERSON INSTRUCTION: Students should report to the CAIHS Phys. Ed. Locker room hallway to meet the middle school coaches. Coaches will then escort students into the CAIHS locker room facilities to get changed into practice attire. Parents can plan to pick up students in the stadium parking lot or in front of the CAIHS gymnasium area no later than 4:45pm.
STUDENTS ATTENDING VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION: Students should be dropped off at the stadium main entrance on the home side no later than 2:45pm. Students should be dressed for practice. Coaches will then escort students into the appropriate locker room for students to get dressed for practice then out to the appropriate field for practice. Parents can plan to pick up students in the parking lot in front of the North Brandywine gymnasium entrance no later than 4:45pm.
STUDENTS ATTENDING VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION: Students should be dropped off at the gymnasium entrance at North Brandywine Middle School. Student will meet with the appropriate coach inside North Brandywine and then be escorted out to the appropriate practice field. Parents can plan to pick up students in the parking lot in front of the North Brandywine gymnasium entrance no later than 4:45pm.
8th GRADE
STUDENTS ATTENDING IN PERSON INSTRUCTION: Students will be dismissed daily from their last period class at 2:00pm and should report to the auditorium lobby entrance on Monday, March 15. CAIHS Principal, Mr. Maloney, or an Assistant Principal will be in the lobby to take attendance then escort students to the bus (BUS #124). Ms. Luciani and/or I will then ride the bus to North Brandywine Middle School with the students on the first day where the middle school coaches will meet us in the NBMS gymnasium. Coaches will then escort students into the appropriate locker room for students to get dressed for practice then out to the appropriate field for practice. Parents can plan to pick up students in the parking lot in front of the North Brandywine gymnasium entrance no later than 4:45pm.

Hero Squad Fundraiser
The Coatesville Area Intermediate High School Student Council has decided to take on blood cancer and the mission to find a cure. This fundraising campaign will take place from March 1st through April 16th, and we need your help! Be on the lookout for more information in the upcoming weeks that will allow students to participate in this rewarding event that emphasizes the importance of social and emotional learning and gaining the experience of helping both children and adults in their fight against blood cancer. We need your help in making the yearbook special for your 8/9 students.We are looking for pictures of just 8th and 9th grade students. The first group of photos that we are looking for are:
